Kaffir Plum is a fruiting tree which produces a plum that has a tart acidity with notes of mango and passionfruit. Interesting to note that it is actually in the cashew family so it's not quite sure what it is...
These pens are made from the root ball of the tree on our property that fell over in a storm nearly 20 years ago. The grain is random but the colour is rich and fairly consistent. It is actually quite similar in colour to River Red Gum.
