White Box is a common tree of the western slopes and plains of New South Wales and adjacent areas in Queensland and Victoria. It has rough, fibrous bark on the base of its trunk and smooth, white bark above.
Though not a very large tree, as it's timber is heavy and hard it was used for railway sleepers and fence posts. The flowers produce nectar for the honey industry.
This timber for this pen was donated by a friend.
This is the only White Box pen I have available, so get in quickly if you want this one! The warm varied colours and texture of the timber are a pleasure to see up close and personal. The photos don't really do it justice. The pen has a good weight and will provide easy writing action for the user. $45 |
