Salt/spice Bowls These small bowls (2 Gidgee and 1 Blackwood) were made on a whim, and my wife suggested there should be spoons to go with them, so who was I to doubt her? The spoons are also made from Gidgee timber. The colurs in the Gidgee are striking and the polish able to be achieved on them is very gratifying. Blackwood is just as hard on tools but more difficult to get the same level of sheen on it. Dimensions: Gidgee 82mm x 30mm. Blackwood 93mm x 33mm. Price: $45 each Both Gidgee bowls have already sold and I will be making more, and can make them in different timbers as required.

Banksia Bowl This bowl was made from a tree stump left behind after our local Council had removed the dead tree beside the coastal cycleway. It has a rich range of colour depth and texture.

This interesting piece was made on a whim to see how the timbers would work together. It is hollow but not made to hold liquid. There are cracks in the Camphor Laurel at the base and the top, which indicates it was not fully seasoned before it was used. Dimensions: 213mm tall, base diameter 75mm, 83mm centre diameter and 62mm top diameter. Price: $110
