This project shows off the natural beauty of the timbers used in it's construction.

The panel work is Silky Oak, prime mover chassis and fuel tanks are NZ Rimu, front bumper is NG Rosewood with Huon Pine features, the sleeper doors are NG Rosewood.

The seats are upholstered and the cab has tinted windows.

This truck is guaranteed one of a kind as design features were created by the craftsman to meet to the desired function of the project.

The bulldog mascot is made from cast aluminium, using a hand carved special sacrificial foam that is replaced by the molten aluminium when poured into the sand mould.

MACK lettering is laser engraved into Huon Pine.

The trailer opens to form a display case or small desk surface. The lowered roof and wall are supported by concealed slide-out chassis rails with swing-down legs.

It has been back to the workshop and had a new pair of exhausts fitted to keep more closely aligned with the timber theme (right photo). Mufflers are Tasmanian Oak, with Kwila pipes.

On the cab roof, the airhorns are River Red Gum and lights are Blackwood.

The Blackwood wheels are individually turned without the use of jigs or pattern copying equipment. Steel axles hold the wheels which are secured with Nylock nuts. Camphor Laurel hubcaps are press fitted into place.

Floating bogie axles feature on the prime mover and trailer with cosmetic timber leaf springs on the prime mover.

The truck has been featured in BigRigs Newspaper and on the macktrucks.com facebook page.
